The Palm Beach International Boat Show

The Palm Beach International Boat Show began on Thursday, March 24th and ended on Sunday, March 27th along Flagler Drive in West Palm Beach. Created by the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County and produced by Informa Markets, the show was a great success with over 400 motor and sail yachts exhibited. The year 2020 onward has been extremely lucrative for the industry. Some of the world’s most luxurious mega yachts were present, though the vintage and wooden vessels stood out as well.

New to the show were Fratelli Aprea, founded in 1890 by a family of master craftsmen whose art was handed down from generation to generation in Sorrento, Italy. However, the Gozo Boat was originally created in Malta to travel between the main island and Gozo Island as a deviation of the former Speronara also created in Malta for Mediterranean travel. These boats were used for passengers, merchandise, corsairing, gunboats and fishing, frequently traveling between Malta and Sicily.

Highlights were the 1965 motor yacht Caravelle designed by De Voogt Naval Architects with 5 state rooms accommodating 8 guests and three crew. Worth Avenue Yachts collaborated with Braman Motor cars with two Rolls Royce cars and the clothing designer ISAIA from Napoli which provided a strong sense of style. Denison had a large and inviting activation and Benetti offered a sleek and luxurious pop-up. Hinckley, an old-time favorite was on site. The Superyacht Show was just north at Safe Harbor Rybovich which provides dockage up to 100 meters in length. Hospitality suites were at Safe Harbor and The Ben. The Winward Club provided a VIP experience.
