SOUTHAMPTON ARTS CENTER’S WHIMSY: A GARDEN SOIRÉE

On Saturday, June 25, Southampton Arts Center hosted its second annual summer cocktail party. More than 300 guests attended Whimsy: A Garden Soirée, to celebrate the summer and the new sculpture garden exhibit. Located on historic Jobs Lane in the heart of Southampton Village, the Southampton Arts Center has become a communal gathering space for music, film and art. Their year-round educational programming  further supports the community. The event supports SAC’s mission to connect with the community through the arts and was sponsored by Frances Valentine, Gardeneering, Purist Magazine, Hamptons Fashion Week, Highclere Castle Gin, Libéllule/Textures and Atelier. The East End’s most prominent guests arrived in style and perused the garden while sipping on Acquolina, cocktails from Highclere Castle gin and enjoyed lite bites of cheese and farm fresh fare from charcuterie boards. The Frank Vignola Trio played in the background of this most fabulous occasion.

“What a magical evening in our sculpture garden,” shared Southampton Arts Center trustee and event chair Elyn Kronemeyer. “The music, food, and gorgeous flowers transported us all to the south of France for the night! We are grateful for the generous support of our hosts, sponsors, and all who turned out to celebrate the beginning of our summer season. Everyone is invited to join us as we embark upon an exciting summer of music, art, film, and dance.”

Select Southampton Arts Center programs are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature.
