On Saturday, August 13, 2022, the East Hampton Library will present its 18th Annual Authors Night fundraiser at Herrick Park via the East Hampton Village Board. It’s one of the highlights of the summer’s charity event season. Philanthropists in the form of avid readers and fans flock yearly to meet over 100 writers, receive signed copies and support a terrific cause, The East Hampton Library. At 5pm the event was held under a grand tent in the park with several hundred guests who were served libations and lite bites of oysters, clams, fresh sushi and more. Later guests joined others at dinner parties at private homes in honor of one or more of the guest authors. Here more intimate conversations occurred. Imagine having dinner with your favorite author at a private dinner party at a private estate. Events like these create lifelong memories.
