Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts Music Department’s most celebrated annual concert, Prism, celebrated nine years of performing at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, Dreyfoos Hall, on December 6th at 7 pm. Underwritten by Sue and James Patterson, the show featured more than 400 Dreyfoos music students performing holiday classics from the Nutcracker to holiday favorites like Jingle Bells and the Beach Boys ‘Little Saint Nick.’
The 90-minute sold-out show featured a kaleidoscope of performances by Band, Piano, Orchestra, and Vocal students. Proceeds benefit the Dreyfoos School of the Arts Music Department, which directly supports the art curriculum at the school.

Prior to the performance, the Dreyfoos School of the Arts Foundation hosted a Pre-Prism cocktail party in the Kravis Center’s ‘Founders Room’ in celebration of its 30th Anniversary. The Foundation thanked those in attendance for 30 years of supporting the Dreyfoos School of the Arts, a public arts high school. Guests included Principal Blake Bennett, School District Superintendent Mike Burke, along with long-standing Foundation Board Members and Supporters.
