The Boca Raton Unveils Harborside, part of a $200 Million reimagination

    The Boca Raton, South Florida’s iconic resort and private club unveils Harborside, part of the destination’s $200 million-dollar reimagination. With five hotels including The CloisterYacht ClubBeach ClubTower and Bungalows there is a variety of tastes in accommodations to offer even the most discerning guest. Several restaurants comprise the brand on a 200 acre waterfront parcel including Sadelle’s in partnership with Major Food GroupPalm Court cocktail lounge designed by architecture firm Rockwell GroupThe Flamingo Grill, MB Supper Club, the redesigned Spa Palmera in collaboration with Colin Cowie, and lastly Maison Rose, a macaron and chocolate shop. These are just some of the installation highlights the property has to offer. 

    With the relaunch in its 95-year history, The Cloister, the anchor of Harborside, now beckons from a long palm framed private grand boulevard in its original illuminated pristine white with 294 rooms and suites. The rooftop of the original storied hotel will have a Rosé wine and Champagne bar to pay tribute to its days as a flamingo pink hotel. Sitting on the intercoastal with a 32-slip full-service marina, 18-hole golf course, Racquet Club with 16 tennis courts, four pickleball courts, retail boutiques, seven swimming pools and state-of-the-art fitness centers there are loads of amenities to offer club members and guests. Later in 2022, a 7,100-square-foot event lawn, and waterfront dining will be completed.

    The Yacht Club, an adults-only hideaway with 112 suites and private balconies overlooking the harbor boasts the Spa Palmera pool with luxury poolside experiences including cabanas with personalized butler service and a Pool Bar serving cocktails and light bites. Alternatively, guests have exclusive access to the Flybridge, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean at The Beach Club via a short boat ride with a half-mile private beach. 

    Spa Palmera, a 50,000-square-foot, Alhambra-inspired spa created by Colin Cowie, is an expansive wellness sanctuary with 44 treatment rooms with a Himalayan Salt Room, Aemotio Vichy Shower by Lemi, Ritual Baths, Halotherapy and a Spa Café serving cold-pressed juice, cocktails, and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine.

    Sadelle’s sits in the signature historic Garden Room with blue lacquer paneling and dark wood beams reminiscent of a European patisserie. With locations in New York’s SoHo, Las Vegas, and Paris the brand has become well known. Known for their rather large crispy latkes, bagels and smoked salmon eggs benedict, Major Food Group partnered with Rockwell Group to provide a multi-layered experience with ambiance, architecture, excellent service and cuisine. 

    The Banyan Bunch kids club is close by and child friendly, sporting a  450-foot floating river, water slides, and a FlowRider surf wave simulator in 2022.

    Addison Mizner, known for his Mediterranean Revival and Spanish Colonial Revival style in Palm Beach and South Florida created the original as The Ritz-Carlton Cloister Inn which opened in February 1926.
