The Southampton Fresh Air Home hosted its decorators-designers-dealers sale and auction benefit gala on Saturday, June 4th. This year marks the 121st year of the camp for children with physical disabilities.
This highly anticipated fundraising event offers emblematic brands which can provide gorgeous artisanal touches of antique furniture, dishes, linens and other items beautifully staged by the inhouse design team. The prices are so competitive and affordable that auction attendees line up at the entrance way before the sale. Each year, lite bites are offered and libations flow while gala guests peruse each inviting design presentation. The micro-atmospheres of eclectic pieces, accessories and outdoor furnishings may provide that sharp looking accent piece that a room has begged for, the last leg of a highly curated collection or it may provide that sought after inspiration with a boost of creative energy.
The D-D-D also features a wonderfully curated wine auction with impressive selections. Fashion, jewelry, travel, fine dining, entertainment, sports, health and beauty can also be found.
Founded in 1902, The Fresh Air Home’s mission is to provide an enriching, recreational and educational experience. The non-for-profit residential center is committed to helping children develop physically, emotionally, and educationally, with the goal of fostering self-esteem, maturity and independence through a broadly balanced program, while providing their families with a well-deserved respite. Summer camp sessions, year-round programs are provided for children and young adults with disabilities. The D-D-D and the Southampton Fresh Air Home “American Picnic” with fireworks By Grucci raise vital funding for its annual operating budget. SFAH’s fundraising efforts ensure that no child is turned away because of a family’s inability to pay.
