The hotel is owned by first-time luxury hospitality investors Bill Campbell and Simon Critchell though they were both investors in the luxury field. Architects Roger Ferris & Partners designed the structures while Champalimaud was responsible for the interiors.

Ferris is known for his sleek designs and light play with wooden louvers. The firm’s diverse designs can be found in his book, Inventive Minimalism. Locally the firm is known for The Bridge and The Watermill Center, and globally for one of the tallest buildings in Chicago. Please see more HERE.

Champalimaud’s portfolio is one of the most impressive as the firm’s designs can be found in the most familiar but distinctive hotels globally, including The Plaza, The Ritz, The Waldorf, The Carlyle, The Palace, and The Pierre just to name a few all a few blocks from each other in New York.

In the heart of Bridgehampton Village and The Hamptons, The Topping Rose house is easily accessible from N.Y.C. via The Hampton Jitney, Luxury Liner or the L.I.R.R. all of which stop at the other end of the small village. Shops, and restaurants and art galleries are all within walking distance.

The 75-seat farm-to-table is a restaurant of distinction. Some of the produce comes from the one-acre garden on the property, local farm fresh fare or deliveries from local fisherman. Jean George always does it best.

The staff is available for suggestions for visits to nearby vineyards, ocean or bay beaches, hikes or other fine dining locations nearby. There are Lexus cars and bikes available for guests to use when available.

The Topping Rose House is available for weddings, dinners and off-site work team building activities. There is a beautiful rustic barn and a large pool house available for such occasions year round and extensive grounds and an outdoor patio during the summer for activities.
