The event started with a preview which announced the honorees and honorable mentions of the specific categories. Excitement mounted as the Top Honor prize was awarded to Joyce Kubat, for her ink on paper piece Armour, 2016. She will have a solo show in the Spiga Gallery in 2019. This community-centered exhibition is an opportunity to celebrate the artists who live and work in The Hamptons. Artists from every level participate in this exhibition to show their support of The Guild Hall community. The show features 383 local artists in the oldest non-juried museum exhibition on Long Island and one of the few non-juried exhibitions still offered. Eighty-nine new members participated this year.
