The 2017 East Hampton Antiques Show Kicked off their Preview Cocktail Party with Honorary Chairperson Interior Designer Tom Samet at Mulford Farm on Saturday July 22nd from 6-8pm. The show which benefits the society is in its eleventh year and has become a beacon to the East End’s society calendar, a highlight to collectors and dealers alike.

With a broad range of styles from classic to contemporary represented, there is truly something available for everyone to buy,” said Honorary Chairperson Samet.

Designers and party goers alike perused a fine array of jewelry, art, antiques and collectables on the grounds of the flawlessly historically correct Mulford Farm, located in the heart of East Hampton, on James Lane. Guests tasted lite bites and sipped Rosé Isle Saint-Pierre, named after its home, an island in the Rhone, France while enjoying the 3.5 acres of history.

“The legacy of preservation by the East Hampton Historical Society is especially evident at Mulford Farm, the site of the 2017 East Hampton Antiques Show. I am honored to be chairing this year’s Antiques Show and invite everyone to attend the Preview Cocktail Party, benefiting the East Hampton Historical Society,” said Mr. Samet.

Mulford is one of the most significant and alluring landmarks on the East End. Guests meandered through white tents, around a windmill, English styled herb gardens, barns, Home Sweet Home and sauntered along crushed clam driveways. Yes, “Home Sweet Home” is one of the dwellings of The East Hamptons Historical Society.

“From the first time I visited East Hampton as a teenager, I knew that this was a special place. The charm of the village and surrounding area is the same today as it was then thanks to the continuing work of our local organizations and societies. I still get the chills every time I turn from Woods Lane to Main Street and see the sun reflect off the town pond with the famous swans swimming and the history of the area in view in the background,” said Tom Samet.
