To be brief about Maidstone, it was designed by Willie Park Jr. and established in 1891. It ranks as #36 in the U.S., #66 in the World (Golf Magazine) and the fees are private. Several charity events are held during the summer season and usually occur on a Tuesday or a Wednesday while most club members are in N.Y.C. Maidstone has always been misunderstood as being pretentious, it is far from that. Other charity events at the Maidstone include Guild Hall, The Eleanor Whitmore Early Childhood Center which are tourneys in the summer and the East Hampton Historical Society’s cocktail event in the fall.
