On Saturday, May 27th the Animal Rescue Fund and HC&G revamped the ARF Thrift Shop in Sagaponack into a collectors wonderland for the Designer Showhouse and Sale. Top designers including Sam Allen, Tracey Cavaniola, Nancy Corzine, John Stedila & Tim Button, Lynda Sylvester, Eldon Wong and Rachel Ray were able to pull items from their collections and combined them with others already in the thrift shop.

The showhouse consisted of eight rooms and one outside cottage. Each space was highlighted by a distinguished designer and given designations including “Dinner with the Captain” which included madras plaid cotton patchwork wallpaper, naval plates and place settings which included Thurston, Lovey, Skipper and of course Gilligan. “Dinner with the Captain was orchestrated by Richard Keith Langham.

The event was chaired by Gordon H. Hoppe, Gigi Mahon, Alex Papachristidis and Marshall Watson and the sale lasted till 4 pm on Memorial Day, Monday. During the cocktail event, guests were able to peruse the shop, sip wine donate by Channing Daughters, taste light bites by Fig & Pig and mingle with the designers or visit the ARF mobile pet adoption van. Meanwhile, a senior cat, puppies, kittens and middle aged animals scanned the crowd.
